About the Client

The client is a boutique strategy consulting firm that specializes in rapidly delivering value to their clients. They engage with Private Equity firms and traditional corporate clients on projects. Additionally, their BPO (Business Process Outsourcing) services are specifically targeted to mid-market clients to improve any inefficiency in the back-office functions by leveraging labor cost arbitrage and time zone difference. BPO performs several services, including Finance & Accounting, CRM, Supply Chain, Data Analytics, HR, Admin functions, and many more based on their client’s specific needs.


Responsibilities

About the Role

A Client Account Specialist plays a crucial role in managing client accounts and fostering positive relationships with customers. This position demands excellent communication skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to efficiently resolve problems. As a Client Account Specialist, you will typically work within fields such as finance, sales, or customer service. The Client Account Specialist will report directly to the Account Manager.

What you’ll do

  • Client Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients by understanding their needs and providing solutions. Serve as the main point of contact for client inquiries, concerns, and requests.
  • Account Maintenance: Regularly review and update client account information, including contact details, preferences, and service agreements. Ensure accuracy and completeness of account records.
  • Financial Impact: Support finance in the review of supplier invoicing and client financial statements, as well as, supporting the finance team with AR and AP functions if necessary.
  • Sales Support: Collaborate with sales teams to identify opportunities for upselling or cross-selling products and services to existing clients. Provide support in preparing proposals, presentations, and contract negotiations.
  • Issue Resolution: Address client issues and complaints promptly and effectively. Investigate problems, propose solutions, and follow up to ensure resolution and customer satisfaction.
  • Communication: Communicate important information, updates, and promotions to clients through various channels, such as email, phone calls, or meetings. Keep clients informed about changes in products, services, or policies.
  • Reporting: Prepare regular reports on account activity, sales performance, and customer feedback. Analyze data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, such as customer service, marketing, and finance, to coordinate efforts and deliver seamless service to clients.
  • Willingness to travel for client meetings or industry events as needed. 

Qualifications

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, finance, or a related field.
  • At least 3-4 years of experience in account management, sales, or customer service.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
  • Problem-solving skills and a customer-focused mindset.
