About the Role
The Finance Reporting Supervisor will be responsible in maintaining an accurate financial statements of the company and timely submissions of reporting package for Group consolidation. This will require the candidate to have a strong knowledge on IFRS and excellent accounting knowledge to properly establish the accounting processes. This role will work closely with the Group accounting team and align the company’s processes with the Group’s policies and procedures.
What you’ll do
- Reviewing financial transactions recorded in accounting system by staff members to ensure proper accounting.
- Reviewing account schedules, reconciliations of general ledger accounts and identifying financial irregularities.
- Preparing monthly and quarterly reporting package and relevant disclosures for group consolidation
- Analyzing financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with generally accepted accounting practices / IFRS.
- Ensuring adequate documentation is maintained and appropriate approvals are obtained to support the financial transactions recorded.
- Accurately preparing sales reports to each local region the business operates where VAT returns are required and ensuring that company taxes are paid in a timely manner.
- Working with Group accounting team for other reporting requirements, schedules and required analysis.
- Coordinating with external auditors’ requirements and providing relevant information to support the audit procedures.
- Working with external tax consultants for tax reporting requirements and filing of vat returns.
- Reviewing current accounting processes to ensure alignment with Group policies and procedures.
- Supervising and providing overall guidance to junior accounting staff.
- Providing regular updates to management regarding company finances.
- Ensuring that the company maintains compliance with accounting legislation.
What You Bring
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in Finance and Accounting
- 2+ years of experience supervising finance teams either in accounting or finance functions
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills in both technical and non-technical contexts
- Sound knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- The ability to process large amounts of numerical data.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong management and leadership skills.
- Must be comfortable working in cross-functional teams
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) accreditation is required
- Internal audit or external financial audit background is a plus
